General Studies

The Associate of Arts in General Studies (AAGS) program allows students to complete 60+ college hours while in high school. Students complete the required core plus electives. Students have the option to select electives that align with their future field of study or they can choose the business track.

Important AAGS details:

1. Students earn an Associate Degree through Odessa College by concurrently completing 60+ college hours while completing their high school course requirements. Students complete at least the 42 core hours required for most degrees plus 18 hours of electives targeted toward their four year degree. 
2. Freshmen and sophomores may apply.
3. This program must be started as a freshman or sophomore to be completed in high school through dual credit.
