Andrews ISD offers students the opportunity to pursue a career as an Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) through the dual credit program. Students graduate from Odessa College with a Level I Certificate in May of their senior year.

Important LVN details:

  1. Students earn their Licensed Vocational Nursing Certificate from Odessa College by concurrently completing LVN coursework while completing their high school course requirements. Students complete LVN coursework and clinicals for 24 months, including summer courses completed at the Andrews Technology Center. Upon completion of the class and clinical requirements, students are able to take the NCLEX Practical Nursing Exam.
  2. Juniors may apply. Students must complete the application process with and be selected by Odessa College for placement into the program.
  3. Students also have the option to complete transition courses through dual credit to prepare to enter the RN program after graduation.
