Athletic Training

Athletes and those wanting to be in athletics next year: We will be requiring that ALL student-athletes receive a new physical with the exception of those currently in 7th grade that obtained a physical for the 20-21 school year. If you would like to participate in athletics next year, please communicate with the appropriate coach at the high school or Coach Ernie Rivera (girls) and Coach Andrew Tijerina (boys) at the middle school for information.
EVERY ATHLETE MUST FILL OUT THE ENTIRE ATHLETIC PAPERWORK PACKET EVERY YEAR. The packet, except for the history/physical form, is online in RankOne. The history form must be filled out every year. The completed history form for ALL students may be dropped off with the athletic trainers. Information and instructions for parents and students to fill the athletic paperwork out online are available below.

Dear Parents/Athletes,

We would like to thank you for all of your support of the AISD Athletics program. We will be hosting physicals at Andrews Family Medicine this year. UIL has released a new requirement for the 2021-2022 school year for physicals. It states that every student who did not receive a physical for the 2020-2021 school year because of the COVID-19 pandemic will need to obtain a brand new physical for the 2021-2022 school year.

Because of this, we will require that every student that wishes to participate in athletics receive a new physical for those currently in 6th-11th grade. The only athletes that will not be required to receive a new physical are those who are currently in 7th grade that received physicals for the 2020-2021 school year.

The physicals will take place at PRMC on the following dates at the following times: All dates will begin at 1:30 PM.

April 27th -- GIRLS -- current 6th, 10th, & 9th (9th grade last names A-M)
April 29th -- BOYS -- current 6th, 10th, & 9th (9th grade last names A-M)

May 4th -- GIRLS -- current 8th, 11th, & 9th (9th grade last names N-Z)
May 6th -- BOYS -- current 8th, 11th, & 9th (9th grade last names N-Z)

9th grade athletes are the only group to be split by last names over the two weeks. 9th A-M will be seen the first week, and 9th N-Z will be seen the following week.

We will be bussing the athletes to and from the schools on these days.

We will also be using new software for our online athletics paperwork called RankOne. All AISD athletes will need to complete these forms before the beginning of the 2021-2022 school year.

Instructions for RankOne can be accessed HERE.
